Course Description

Does our understanding of American history change when we approach it from a female perspective? Do we mark that history the same way? Do we use the same methods? This is a multicultural course that traces American history through women’s experiences from 1600 to 1900. It begins with Native American, British, and African women in Colonial Virginia and ends with women fighting for suffrage.
