Course Description

Early Christianity has always struggled with how to make theological sense of the continued existence of Judaism. Persecution of Jews and Judaism has
been a constant theme in both Eastern and Western Christianity. But in the West, his sustained involvement of Roman Catholics in the Holocaust caused a major rethinking of Roman Catholic anti-Jewish teaching. It took a generation, but in March 2000, Pope John Paul II visited Jerusalem and put Jewish-Catholic relations on a new path.
