Course Description

This unique conversation brings together distinguished representatives from Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to explore mourning rituals across the Abrahamic faiths. Speakers will delve into the religious and historical roots of these practices, examining how ancient traditions continue to shape modern expressions of grief. The discussion will highlight both shared and distinct elements among the faiths, as well as contemporary adaptations in response to changing times. Featuring Israeli artist Moshe Gershuni’s Kaddish illustrations, the program offers a deeper look at how faith, ritual, and art support individuals and communities in processing loss and honoring memory.
