Course Description

Mah Jongg is considered to be the national game of China. The game has a fascinating history, with roots tracing back to versions played by educated men in the 1300s. Throughout the years, it evolved into the version played today by millions of people around the world. The rituals of the game and the tiles themselves provide an insight into Chinese culture and art. Spend a bit of time exploring the mysterious images on the tiles, and, by doing so, see how the game offers a view into this ancient culture.
