Course Description

Join us as we read and discuss Homer’s Odyssey, the first fully developed adventure story in Western culture, using a new and highly regarded translation by Emily Wilson. Rich in mythology, the Odyssey follows the travels of Odysseus as he tries to return home from the Trojan War and explores themes such as travel, coming of age, hospitality, loyalty, vengeance, trickery and disguise.
